MARLBOROUGH HORSE TRIALS
Rosaryville State Park
The Marlborough Horse Trials are sanctioned by United States Eventing Association (USEA) and United States Equestrian Federation(USEF). Together, these organizations establish standards for competition in the US and oversee development of the sport to prepare riders to represent the U.S. at the Olympics and other world class events.
ABOUT
The Marlborough Horse Trials (MHT) is an exciting equestrian event held each fall at Rosaryville State Park in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Horses-and-riders compete in a triathalon of cross-country jumping, stadium jumping, and dressage. The 1017-acre Rosaryville State Park is located in southern Prince George’s County, about 15 miles southeast of Washington, D.C. and about 10 miles outside of the Capital Beltway.
The MHT cross country course ranks with the best. The course is designed by John Williams and constructed by Tyson Rementer. Our Stadium Jumping course designer is Kathy White. Since its inception, the horse trials have become a major equestrian and community event in the Southern Maryland region.
