Join us for our 7th Annual Jumper Derby!
This year we have two dates! March 17th will have the Jumper Derby, Dressage Fix-A-Test, and Water Schooling. April 7th will have the Derby and Water Schooling.
Want to get out in early spring just to get your feet wet? No problem, we have you covered. Returning for our 7th year, we are offering four levels of Derby competition. We will pin winners through 3rd place in four divisions. 18"-2', 2'-2'3", 2'3"-2'7" and 2'9"-3'. All courses will be ridden over a combination of cross-country and stadium jumps. Banks are optional for the first three levels and mandatory for the 2'9"-3' division. To compete for a ribbon a rider must ride two rounds at the same height. For the Elementary division the first round will be judged only on clear rounds (not times) and the second round will be judged on equitation. For the remaining three divisions, the first round will be judged on optimum time and the second round on equitation.
Riders can choose to ride judged or unjudged and can also ride as pairs just for fun or to help a green horse or rider gain confidence in a fun and inviting atmosphere. It's your choice! Drinks and delicious hot food will be available for sale all day. Bring your friends and enjoy a day at the park!
Need to get your horse's feet wet? We've got you covered there too! For the first time we are offering an opportunity to school our water obstacle for $15 per horse and rider combination. Just pay the secretary, get a pinnie and off you go! What could be a better prep for the upcoming show season? We can answer that too!
Try our Dressage Fix-A-Test while you're at the first Derby on March 17th! We will have a Dressage arena set up and a judge will work with you on the test of your choice. You can ride your choice of the 2010 USEF BN thru Training Eventing tests (A or B) or the USDF Intro Tests A or B (walk/trot). Sign up early and reserve a ride time for the Fix-A-Test for $25 or sign up the day of the event on space available basis for $30.
